Hello and welcome to my website, on here you will find loads of information about the Yamaha YZF1000R Thunderace.
So far I have had about 4 or 5 Thunderaces, they are just suitable for my size
(I am about 6 feet 3 inches) and the wifes loves to sit behind me whilst we
travel at a nice steady 100mph. I have raced, wheelied and got my knee down on
my thunderace's, I have red lined them in every gear, I cant decide which is the
most scariest,red line in first or red line in top!!!.
I'm not really into top speed so I usually gear the bike down by fitting 1 tooth
less than standard on the front, the only trouble is then the front comes up too
easy and the top speed is reduced to about 150mph.
I think I can safely say now that I know how a Thunderace operates.
